PAL gaming has published their [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] impressions. Just like all other gaming websites, they’re really looking forward to the release of this great [tag]Nintendo[/tag] title. They say the [tag]Wii Balance Board[/tag] works just perfect and they expect the game to be a big hit as well. According to them the impact of the game on your health is irrelevant, they believe the fun factor of the game is more important. We’ll see what impact it can have on your health when we’re getting the game and the [tag]Wii Balance Board[/tag] under our feet!
During a press conference in Tokyo Nintendo has announced that its upcoming healthy [tag]Wii[/tag] game Wii Fit will be released in North America sometime in April. European gamers will have to wait to get started with the Wii Balance Board and [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] until June. [tag]Nintendo[/tag] of America hasn’t announced a price point yet or Balance Board modifications yet.
Since its launch,Wii Fit bundled with the [tag]Wii Balance Board[/tag] has been sold over 1,2 million times in Japan. Compared to some other games this isn’t extraordinary, but it’s an extremely high number for a game that’s being packed with a piece of hardware. [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] is still dominating Japanese software charts.
We’re already January 2008 but Nintendo of America still hasn’t announced an official Wii Fit release date yet. We’re patient, and so is Nintendo World Report. They have made a funny article named ‘The Road to Wii Fit - Basic Training‘ with a list of games that should help you get in shape for when [tag]Wii Fitness[/tag] arrives!
Since today [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] is available in Japan, and Nintendo released the game along with loads of new gametrailers. Yahoo! Sports interviewed Bart Scott in which he talks about using the Wii to help paraplegic kids. Sometimes he uses the [tag]Nintendo[/tag][tag]Wii[/tag] because it’s easy for these children to use since some of them don’t have full fonction of their hands and they kicked his butt in the Wii Sports games! The were beating him up in boxing and there was a girl in a wheelchair who kicked his ass in Wii Bowling.
Nintendo of Japan launched the official Wii Fit site and added some screens of the [tag]Wii[/tag] Push Up Trainer mode. In this new [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] minigame your goal is to do push ups on theWii Balance Board to stay with the marker in the green zone of the meter. It’s great that [tag]Nintendo[/tag] puts a push up training mode in the game since not many people know how to do push up exercises properly.
[tag]Nintendo[/tag] of Japan recently announced that the Wii Balance Board, the special Wii Fit controller, will allow people up to 300 pounds (136 kg). This could be a problem for certain people who want to use the [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] game and [tag]Wii Balance Board[/tag] to lose weight, but [tag]Nintendo[/tag] said they may be making a different Balance Board for other markets.
[tag]Nintendo[/tag] did a Fall 2007 Press Conference with some demonstrations of Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board. They showed some new footage of the Soccer and Ski Jump minigames of [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] and released some new info.
[tag]Nintendo[/tag] has released a few new screenshots of Wii Fit with more of the same stuff we’ve seen on older screens of [tag]Wii Fit[/tag]. Famitsu did a hands-on with the game and they really felt the muscle training after a while! The reporter says that he really had the feeling he was working out.
