The [tag]New York Times Crosswords[/tag] for the [tag]Nintendo DS[/tag] contains over 1000 puzzles featuring a WiFi multiplayer mode for up to two players. The game is already out here in the United States, but it isn’t available in Europe yet. European gamers won’t be familiar with these New York Times crosswords taken out of three years of the NYT archive, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t train your brain!
Nintendo announced today that it will release Otona No DS Kao Training on August 2 for 4800 yen in Japan. Another training game, but not an ordinary one because this videogame will train… your face! This is a game for women who like a healthy and elastic skin. Fumiko Inudo, a facening expert in Japan, will be ‘the face’ of this game and is absolutely sure that this game will make your face and skin healthier by exercising it. The game comes with a neat camera that you have to plug into the Game Boy Advance Cartridge slot so that the NDS can see if you’re using your facemuscles right. Let’s hope it will come out in America, but we think that they will keep this pretty odd game ‘Japan Only’. The game is in development with Intelligent Systems, the Fire Emblem studio.
Researchers at the Italian University of Udine have invented a pulse oxymter sensor that the gamer has to wear around the upper body. By wearing this sensor the player has to control the games by moving back and forth. And by moving your heart rate goes up and the game responds to this increase of the heart rate and makes the game more difficult. They use this system to help maintain the perfect level of exertion during exercising. Just another healthy way to lose weight and exercise by playing games…
