According to Bill Simmons from ESPN, Nintendo will get some serious lawsuits because of Wii Fit.
Speaking of video games, there are few certainties in life but this is one of them: The Wii is headed for the biggest and most expensive class-action injury suit since Navin’s eyeglasses made everyone cross-eyed in “The Jerk.” - Bill Simmons, ESPN
Nintendo has had multiple lawsuits for the Wii in the past, so Nintendo is most likely prepared to face charges like these.
GamesRadar invited yoga instructor Sally to try Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board out. She says the whole game concept is pretty weird to her, and she advises people not to overdo it. Even though Wii Fit isn’t like any other gym thing, you could still hurt yourself if you overdo it.
GR: Would you recommend these exact poses for children? Sally: For kids, I’m really not sure about any of it. Older kids, yes. And adults too.
GR: How does the balance board feel? Sally: A bit weird. In Yoga, you’re grounded on a mat barefoot – close to the Earth and not on a thing you stand on. If you were new to it, then it might not seem so weird.

Here and there you read stories about little girls disappointed when the Wii Balance Board and WiiFit told them that they are fat. With [tag]Nintendo[/tag]’s [tag]Wii[/tag] and [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] being so popular, it’s sometimes really hard to find a copy of a game. There’s still a lot of problems with Wii supplies and people still trying to get a Wii in their household, and the same problems will pop up with the launch of Wii Fit and the [tag]Wii Balance Board[/tag] in Europe.
As with all our launches, we are working very hard with all our retail partners to be as open and as transparent as possible with further deliveries, we’re disappointed if even one person can’t get hold of one of our products and we are doing everything we can to ensure we have as much stock as possible coming into the UK and Ireland not just at launch, but continually, to try and minimise any potential disappointment as much as possible.” - [tag]Nintendo[/tag] of Europe
Try to reserve your Wii Fit bundle with the Wii Balance Board to avoid disappointment.
The first [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] games with the [tag]Wii Balance Board[/tag] are showing up in European stores, and that gives us some boxshots to look at! The design of the artwork on the PAL-box is a lot more simple than the fancy US box with the [tag]Wii Fit[/tag] lifestyle pictures on it. Notice that there’s also no [tag]Touch! Generations[/tag] sign on the PAL box.
