A lot of gamers want to know how much the Wii Balance Board can carry. A NeoGAF member purchased Wii Fit with the Wii Balance Board and the game told him he was too heavy and it wouldn’t register his Mii-character. The Wii Balance Board is supporting up to 660 lbs, Wii Fit supports weights up to 330 llbs and the NeoGAF guy trying out the game was 350 lbs and 6′8″ tall. There are many other gamers who can’t play Wii Fit because they are too heavy. We sure hope that Nintendo will publish another Wii Balance Board in the future that has a higher weight limit. If Nintendo doesn’t do it, a third party publisher will certainly do it anyway.

According to Bill Simmons from ESPN, Nintendo will get some serious lawsuits because of Wii Fit.
Speaking of video games, there are few certainties in life but this is one of them: The Wii is headed for the biggest and most expensive class-action injury suit since Navin’s eyeglasses made everyone cross-eyed in “The Jerk.” - Bill Simmons, ESPN
Nintendo has had multiple lawsuits for the Wii in the past, so Nintendo is most likely prepared to face charges like these.

GamesRadar invited yoga instructor Sally to try Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board out. She says the whole game concept is pretty weird to her, and she advises people not to overdo it. Even though Wii Fit isn’t like any other gym thing, you could still hurt yourself if you overdo it.
GR: Would you recommend these exact poses for children?
Sally: For kids, I’m really not sure about any of it. Older kids, yes. And adults too.GR: How does the balance board feel?
Sally: A bit weird. In Yoga, you’re grounded on a mat barefoot – close to the Earth and not on a thing you stand on. If you were new to it, then it might not seem so weird.

In an interview with Time Magazine Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Wii Fit and many other Nintendo franchises. said that it wasn’t easy to work on Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board. Because everyone was having high expectations, it was extremely stressful for them to work on it.
“There tends to be a lot of nervousness about working on a product like this. Video games have a lot of expectations, and developers tend to have stress to meet those.” - Shigeru Miyamoto
Right now he is working on Wii Music and many other interesting Wii-titles. We sure hope Nintendo will announce more healthy Wii-titles!

Here and there you read stories about little girls disappointed when the Wii Balance Board and WiiFit told them that they are fat. Just keep in mind that the Wii Balance Board doesn’t know everything about your body. It’s a great piece of technology, but there’s a few things it doesn’t know. The most important thing it doesn’t know is how much muscles you have in your body. Muscles are four times heavier than fat, so somebody with a lot of muscles might be told that he/she is fat even though that it isn’t true. The guy in this video isn’t too happy with what the Wii Balance Board tells him…
